I’m English and have now passed the 55 year milestone. While this may not yet make me vintage, having been around the block a bit and collected some scars along the way, I started this blog in 2013 or so. It’s primary purpose was my own satisfaction but it as a result of Brexit I have become a writer for Conservative Woman (my blogs for them are here).
Some background on me. I was educated at Winchester College, studied mechanical engineering at University College London and then joined the Army. After several blissful years in the Queen’s Dragoon Guards and teaching at Sandhurst there was a defence cut and I got the chop. After working for others I ended up being an entrepreneur. Some projects worked, some didn’t but along the way I have met many interesting people and seen how they behave under extreme pressure. I’ve also learnt a fair bit about finance, The City, commercial life, green energy, UK planning and property management.
I have just completed a turn around at Kent Science Park, restoring it to a vibrant and well supported location for science and technology companies. Having solved problems ranging from lack of electricity to the absence of leases my work is done and I am now looking for another challenge. In a perfect world that would be in South Wales, although I am currently based in East Kent.
In the meantime I am available for projects, interim roles and general commercial support. In the first instance I am best contacted through this link
I have recently qualified as a glider pilot, which keeps me out of trouble.
I have also published a book and a couple of pamphlets, the details of which are on the Amazon Website here.
